Blueprint Finance & Glow - the company and its Solana product
Why "Blueprint" and "Concrete" are different names - and what Glow Finance is. Sourced from Blueprint Finance's own press releases (Business Wire, PR Newswire) and reporting by Fortune, Blockworks and CoinDesk.
Wait, is "Blueprint" a different project from "Concrete"?
No - Blueprint Finance is the company. Concrete is its Ethereum (EVM) product - the vaults you deposit into on concrete.xyz. Blueprint also runs a second, separate product on Solana called Glow Finance. So "Blueprint built Concrete and Glow" is the accurate way to say it; "Blueprint" is not a rebrand or a different protocol you need to worry about - it's just the parent company's name, similar to how "Meta" makes "Instagram".
Who runs Blueprint Finance
Blueprint Finance was founded in 2023 by Nic Roberts-Huntley, CEO and co-founder, who oversees both Concrete and Glow. His background is unusual for DeFi: he trained and practiced as a surgeon (Oxford University Hospitals, The Royal Marsden) before pivoting to finance via an MBA and a Master's in Evidence-Based Policy Evaluation & Economics at Oxford, then worked as a Vice President at Point72.
The wider team is drawn from both traditional finance and crypto-native firms - including Coinbase, Morgan Stanley, Point72, Consensys, Galaxy Digital and Polkadot - plus a set of senior functional hires: Luke Hajdukiewicz (Chief Growth Officer, ex-Head of Sales at EigenLayer), Graeme Barnes (Head of Product, ex-Head of Product at Maple Finance), Haythem Sellami (Senior Smart Contract Engineer, ex-Smart Contract Lead at Euler) and Gustavo Silva (Engineering Manager, ex-Staff Technical Lead at Consensys).

Glow Finance - Blueprint's Solana product
Glow Finance is Blueprint's Solana-based counterpart to Concrete - a composable DeFi liquidity hub combining margin lending/borrowing, leveraged trading, automated yield and liquid restaking in one margin-account interface. It grew out of Blueprint's acquisition of Jet Protocol (an existing Solana lending platform, backed at the time by Paradigm and Solana Ventures) in October 2024, and launched on Solana mainnet in April 2025 as a full rebuild rather than a relaunch of Jet's old codebase.
Glow's headline asset is $glowSOL, its liquid-restaking token - deposit SOL, get $glowSOL, and use it as collateral to borrow, lend or trade on leverage within the same margin account, on top of staking yield. Glow's contracts have been audited by Halborn, Zellic and Certora.
If you only use Concrete on Ethereum, none of this is required reading - Glow is a separate deposit, a separate token ($glowSOL, not a $CT-related asset) and a separate risk surface on a different chain. This page exists so the two aren't confused, not to suggest you need both.
